Move to a new Caledonia
The husband and wife worked both in the casino sphere.
They lived there for a long time. mine 15-20 years.
they have two children.
Probably life there has changed and they returned to France in 2007, bought a house in the village and are going to meet there old age.
And their daughters did not want to live in France, but they did not stay in New Caledonia either. They moved to Australia.
Well, finally added a topic about New Caledonia! We came here from Gers 32, almost a month ago, with us two children, boys 10 and 13 years old. We plan to stay here for several years, according to the work of my spouse. Children go to college.
Just want to say that the CDS from France, although here, too, France is not accepted here. I had to apply for a visa to New Caledonia, and my French CDS is canceled automatically. Here you need to file a dossier on the local CDS. This applies to those who, like me, do not yet have a French passport. And for me now to go home to Gers in France, I must request a French visa. It’s absurd.
Sensations from the island: Smiling and lovely local people, we live in the north of the island, the city of KONE, this is the northern province, the island is divided into Southern and Northern provinces. The capital of Noumea in the South, which is very different, from the northern region. In Noumea there is a different kind of activity, cultural programs, many tourists from Australia and Japan. In the north of the city are small, and there are no theaters for you any concerts.
Prices in New Caledonia are amazing, almost all are 2 times more expensive than on the mainland. Dairy products imported from New Zealand. Dine in the restaurant, buffet of about 45 euros per person, I note that it’s without wine. With wine a separate story, it is also not cheap here.
Well, and rounding off, is there a Russian speaking on this glorious island? If so, please contact us!
Good day to all!
Were in New Caledonia on vacation, for a month. Lived with a friend’s husband on one of the small islands, 2 weeks lived on the “big earth”. What to say, beauty, nature, no one is in no hurry and in no hurry. But after talking with the French, who came there to work, it became clear that they all would like to return to France.
For me, for example, it’s not acceptable, on vacation – with both hands, but live.
There is nothing more permanent than temporary.

Good day to all!
