Elite areas of Marbella: which one to choose for living and recreation?
Marbella – a small but very famous Spanish resort, a city of glamor and luxury, the residence of famous actors and the richest Arab sheiks; the focus of many cultural events and fashion events. And yet – it’s a beautiful ancient city, surrounded by majestic mountains and full of passionate Andalusian spirit; this is a long clean beaches and its own microclimate, making your stay here easy and enjoyable even in the summer hot months!
In Marbella, about 140 thousand people live, more than 30% of them are foreigners from 137 countries of the world. Most of the residents of this sunny place are rich or very rich: property prices here are high enough to weed out less well-off people and continue year after year to preserve the image of one of the most prestigious resorts in Spain.
Administratively, Marbella consists of two large areas – the actual Marbella and San Pedro de Alcantara, as well as the surrounding residential complexes called Nueva Andalucia and Las Chapas.
The Golden Mile of Marbella.
The most exclusive, expensive and glamorous area of Marbella is the so-called “Golden Mile”: 4 kilometers separating the city from the famous sports port of Puerto Banus, which is the whole of Europe, where the cost of a unit of housing varies from half a million to more than 50 million euros.
Here are the most luxurious mansions, residential complexes and hotels not only in Spain but all over Europe, for example, the palace of the King of Saudi Arabia Faida, the hotels Melia Don Pepe, Marbella Club and Puente Romano – the last two became the founders of the modern sophisticated lifestyle of the city and have not lost for the past decades of aristocratic charm and prestige.
Residential complexes “Golden Mile” are located both in the immediate vicinity of the beach, and in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca. Among the coastal cities, the most popular are, in particular, Casablanca, Santa Margarita, Santa Petronila, Los Verdiales, Las Torres, Puente Romano. All of them are closed to outsiders, well guarded, well equipped – playgrounds are buried in greenery, among the beautiful gardens are scattered pools and waterfalls, there is necessarily a convenient parking for residents and other elements of the developed infrastructure.
The most famous beach in this privileged zone is Naguela, famous for its beautiful promenade, the clearest transparent water, the finest golden sand and the best restaurants, hotels and clubs in the city.
Elite complexes of the Golden Mile, located in the foothills of the Sierra Blanca ridge, are especially appreciated by those who need silence and seclusion, but do not want to be far from the boiling and bubbling gaiety of Marbella’s rich life. One of the privileges of this place can safely be called the most magnificent view, opening up to the Mediterranean Sea and the majestic surrounding mountains.
In this part of the Golden Mile there are many wonderful, comfortable and comfortable urbanizations: the Cascade de Camohan, the Sierra Blanca, La Trinidad, the Marbella Hill Club, the golf clubs of Monte Paraiso and La Dama de Noche and etc. These complexes consist of villas with their own plot, small individual houses and apartments – here you can find real estate for every taste.
All these residential complexes, of course, are superbly equipped, equipped with modern security systems and very well maintained: for those who are lucky to live here, sports halls and saunas, swimming pools and jacuzzis are built, beautiful parks with pavilions and flower beds are broken.
San Pedro de Alcantara.
The area of San Pedro de Alcantara is considered part of Marbella, but in fact it was, as it was, a separate seaside town that, despite its proximity to the luxury of Puerto Banus and the Golden Mile, retained its provincial charm and ancient Andalusian character. This is a quiet and peaceful place where everyone knows each other by name and when asked about the family; where you can relax and unwind from the noisy-enchanting atmosphere of Marbella life, without giving up the overall elegance and sophistication of her style.
And in the town itself, and in the surrounding modern residential complexes (Guadalmina, La Quinta, Casablanca Beach, Benamar, Cortijo Blanco, etc.), there is everything necessary to disconnect from the bustle of the outside world, and in order to fun and active time: open a lot of gourmet restaurants and nightclubs, there are various sports events, including competitions in golf and tennis, concerts and fairs are organized and much more.
What else is San Pedro good for? Its main square with an old church and a fountain, with cozy bars and restaurants, from which the narrow streets with traditional Spanish eateries, small boutiques and shops, where you can really spend time, snack and buy local souvenirs, run in different directions.
The new boulevard, leading from the city center to the beautiful promenade with playgrounds, amphitheatres for concerts and shows in the fresh air, elegant restaurants is also good.
The beach is very nice – sandy, clean and long: along the coast it is easy to walk to Puerto Banus and even to the center of Marbella.
It should be noted that among the sporting preferences of the local public, of course, golf dominates: in the vicinity of San Pedro there are more than 15 golf courses and residential complexes for fans of this sport.
Another delightful town in the vicinity of Marbella, causing an irresistible desire to stay in it, is Benahavis. In addition to its Arab-Andalusian charm and magnificent golf courses in the surrounding area, it is known as the “dining room of Costa del Sol”: there is an incredible (per square meter) number of excellent restaurants, taverns and bars, where they come to eat delicious food from all over the coast! It is located 7 km from the sea, in the mountains, and from there a magnificent panorama of the blue boundlessness of the Mediterranean Sea and the resort towns that stretch along the shore.
Benaavis is an elegant mixture of an ancient Arab settlement typical of the mountain villages of Malaga and modern tourist infrastructure.
By the way, property prices in both San Pedro and Benaavisa are much lower than the prices of the Golden Mile – from about a quarter million euros and more.
It should be noted that all areas of Marbella – an oasis of luxury and prosperity, and in this article we told you only about the most prestigious of them.
