Customs regulations of Slovakia.
Import of goods is allowed (duty free):
1 liter of alcoholic beverages (if the mass fraction of ethyl alcohol in it is more than 22%) 2 liters of alcoholic beverages (if the mass fraction of ethyl alcohol is less than 22%) 4 liters of wine 16 liters of beer 40 cigarettes or 20 cigars or 10 cigars or 50 gram of tobacco (if you arrive on the car) 200 cigarettes or 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco (if arriving by plane or ship) medicines for personal use.
Importation is allowed from 18 years.
Other goods can be imported duty-free if their total cost does not exceed 300 euros (if arriving by car), 430 euros (if arriving by plane or ship) or 150 euros (for children under 15 years).
Animals must have a passport or a pet certificate, microchip and vaccination against rabies.
Import into Europe of animals protected by the Convention CITES *
If the imported or exported amount of cash exceeds 10,000 euros, it is subject to a written declaration.

When importing rare species of animals that are protected by the CITES Convention, special rules must be adhered to. Depending on which CITES Appendix the imported animal is related to, the person must present the export, import permit of CITES, the certificate of origin. For animals classified in Annex I, it is necessary to obtain the export and import permit of CITES, to Annex II – the export permit of CITES, to Annex III – the certificate of origin.
To import items made from Convention-protected animals or plants (corals, reptilian leather goods), a special certificate will be required.
